About this opportunity: 

WillHire is looking for an Engineering Leader to manage its Web Application Team. This person will lead innovation in this space and help the engineering team to excel in design, implementation and delivery of the product for existing customers and to the leads. This person should have production grade experience in managing enterprise-ready applications and having to lead in a remote environment is absolutely a plus.

What You’ll Do:

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating Web Solution at WillHire from a technology perspective. You will be providing technical solutions to scale, sustain and maintain our products. You will provide leadership in the Timelines, Cost, Engineering and Devops areas.

• Drive the results that support the company's high level vision. 

• Be accountable for the work you do and the results you drive. 

• Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.

• Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.

• Leads teams in the development of new products, features, solutions, and processes.

• Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.

• Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.

• Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.

• Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.

• Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.

• Increase overall system reliability and reduce the impact of bugs/outages across the software ecosystem.

• Provide visibility on performance and availability of all the software systems.

• Automate and harden deployed software and processes, reducing average times to deploy and scale our products.

• Share technical knowledge and promote technical growth throughout the engineering department. 

• Promote best practices in software infrastructure through examples and teaching.

Required Skills:

• Profieciency is PHP MVC frameworks like Yii2, Laravel, Symphony etc.

• Proficiency in Bash, PHP, Python or other scripting languages.

• Hands on with Apache/Nginx Server configurations

• Experience with PHP version migration

• Experience with Microservices.

• Experience with CI/CD (i.e. Jenkins, AWS Code Deploy, etc.).

• Experience with Containerization (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

• Experience with Testing Frameworks.

• Experience with Version Control (Git).
